Hot water installation involves far more than simply connecting a few pipes. In Queensland, the regulations around installing any type or brand of hot water system are much stricter than in many other states and territories. Every replacement must meet the latest Australian standards, which may have changed since your old system was originally installed. In addition to the cost of extra valves (not included with most new systems), Bribie Island Hot Water is also required to pay the QBCC for submitting Form 4—a mandatory council fee that applies to every home where a hot water system is replaced.
